Wheelers Hill Primary School have a range of support services available for students to support them through circumstances that may affect cognitive, emotional or physical well-being. These services are provided at school, during school times and are conducted by trained specialists in many aspects of counselling, occupational therapy and childhood psychology.

Student Support Services Officer (S.S.S.O.)

Through the Department of Education and Training, we have access to Student Support Services. This comprises of a broad range of professionals including psychologists, guidance officers, speech pathologists, and social workers.



We have access to an outsourced agency that is able to provide psychological services for students and families.

OnPsych are able to support students to enhance and promote emotional wellbeing. They aim to provide life skills that can help your child use appropriate coping and problem solving skills to assist with their schooling and ongoing development. OnPsych works with a range of problems. Some of these include:

  • Anxiety

  • Poor social skills

  • Anger management

  • Sleep problems

  • Hyperkinetic (attention deficit) disorder

  • Poor impulse control

  • Bullying

  • Eating disorders
