Year 5
Golden Valleys Lodge
Year 5 students recently had a wonderful few days at Golden Valleys Lodge in Flinders. This is a very popular camp amongst Wheelers Hill students, run by a terrific lady named Andrea.
Her cooking is very popular, as Andrea provides lots of food for everyone, and we all enjoyed home cooked meals of pasta and roast chicken.
Students were lucky with the weather and completed a variety of activites including; mountain bike riding, archery, team building activities, bush hiking, flying fox, hut building, trampoline and table tennis. At night students went on a night hike and toasted marshmellows after testing their skills at a general knowledge trivia competition.
A special thanks goes out to those extra staff who came along to help, as well as the two parents who gave up their time to accompany us.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at camp this year and it seems they are already looking forward to the exciting new trip to Canberra as Grade 6 students next year!
Amazing Maths in 5F
These grade 5 students completed rotation activites that focused on 3D shapes. They enjoyed learning about different 3D shapes, their dimensions and how they are classified.
