Speaking and Listening Reflections

Peer Reflections

We all did talks about the 100th day of school. We got to mark the person who was speaking using stars.

  • I got to play teacher and work out how well someone spoke about the 100th day of school. I had to give them three stars, two stars or no stars.
  • She talked very clearly. I could hear her.
  • I gave her three stars for speaking clearly.
  • I enjoyed listening to her because I like the way she said it. She talked to the class and I could hear her.
  • She was listening to the person who was talking.
  • He asked good questions today.
  • I really liked the way she listened carefully. She was very quiet and listened to the person who was talking.
  • He talked well because he knew why he liked it and why it was fun.

Self Reflections

We also reflected on ways in which we could improve our speaking and listening skills.

  • I could improve my speaking by asking more questions.
  • I need to get better at talking slower.
  • I need to work on joining in.
